Tips For a Beginner on Farmville

If you're new to Farmville on Facebook, most likely you'll find yourself struggling with the huge array of options available to you from the start. As daunting as it may be, getting started in one of the most popular game can be simple and fun!

As with most new players, choosing which plants to grow or which livestock to raise can prove to be a stumbling block; but that should be the least of your problem once you've understand the fundamentals of this game and know a trick or two when playing.

Here are some quick tips to get you started:

One simple yet important tip that you should know is that when you expand, do not over stretch yourself and the coins you have! If you only focus on plowing your land and not leaving any coins for you to plant seeds, you'll quickly find that you'll have to wait for a long time before you can progress to the next level.

To make this game more enjoyable for you, you should always take advantage of the potential each land can give you. Because you will get the most money when you harvest initially, you want to make sure that you're able to use the same land once you've cleared your harvest.

It costs 15 coins to clear a land, and more coins depending on what you want to plant next, therefore look through your options and evaluate what is the most profitable way to plant and harvest next before you decide.

This way you'll find yourself with enough and sometimes ample money when you start leveling, following a planting and harvesting system can allow you to generate the maximum amount of money in the shortest period of time.

Another tip that I often share with my friends is to plan your harvest. For example, there is no point in planting a crop that will fully mature in 4 hours when you're only available to play 8 hours from now. It is more logical to grow a plant that mature longer but will be ready when you are ready to play. Plants take that long to mature will usually yield you more experience points and money.

With a proper planting and harvesting roster in place, you'll soon find this game addictive and fun at the same time because you'll start unlocking more and more bonus items in game.

One of the best thing about this game is that you get to connect with your friends and you can ask them to be your friendly neighborhood! So if you're a beginner to this game, I want to welcome and make sure you have an enjoyable time in this game, because after all that's why we play in the first place, right?

Some of the bonus items are only available as you progress through the game, discover how you can progress through Farmville faster by simply knowing some of the tricks that can be found in this Farmville guide.

Advanced Facebook Poker Strategy to Win Facebook Poker Chips in Texas Holdem

For the Advanced Texas Holdem Strategy in Facebook Poker, you need to practice some of these universal strategies when you're playing tougher Facebook poker games. Usually, the best way to beat bad Facebook poker players is to just play the basic strategies. However, against good Facebook poker players you need to be a little trickier and use more strategy in order to win those coveted Facebook poker chips.

Bluffing

Bluffing is a device to be used against good Facebook poker players only. Since the less skilled Facebook poker players will tend to call anything, bluffing is generally of no value. However, it's always handy whily playing Texas Holdem, to persuade a good Facebook poker player to lay down a hand he shouldn't. It's normally best to bluff by representing a poker hand.

Sometimes blindly betting will get a Facebook poker player to fold if he has nothing, but to make him fold something entails that he really thinks he's beaten. (This is easier to do at no limit than limit). At no limit, you can just put in a pot sized bet if say a flush draw hit, but a better poker player is likely to call another big bet in a limit game.

In a limit poker game, it is almost always best to bluff early (at the flop), as once a good Facebook poker player starts calling big bets, he will be unwilling to lay down his hand unless he was drawing and missed.

Again, remember that while bluffing at a Texas Holdem Poker game you need to use this strategy: bet like you would bet if you had the hand. Simply betting hard when there is something scary is not always clever, as good Facebook poker players might get a little suspicious.

If you bet firm when you have the nuts, then it's fine to bluff hard when the nut hand comes on the board. However, if you tend to slow-play when you have the nut hand, they might recognize you are bluffing and siphon off your Facebook poker chips.

Slow-playing

This is the exact reverse of bluffing at Facebook poker. Slow-playing is misleading your opponent into thinking you have a worse poker hand than you actually do.

Slow-playing is generally efficient against both good and bad poker opponents (bad opponents simply bet their hand, so if they have something, they will pay you off no matter what). You do not want to slow-play when there is a draw on the board that can hammer you; you want to slow-play when someone has a poker hand that is not very likely going to improve to beat yours.

For example, suppose A95 is on the board. You have 99 and you are positive your opponent has an ace. It is probably best to wait until the turn to bet hard, so you can milk him in for at least one extra big bet.

Game Selection

Selecting which Texas Holdem poker game to play is a skill that many good poker players never develop fully. However, it is often just as important as playing good poker.

If you are playing against of other good Texas Holdem poker players on Facebook, then you really don't stand any better chance than you do at the craps table. Keep good notes of the players you have played against and play in poker games where you truly think you are better than the vast majority of your opponents.

If you are new to the poker game, there are other methods of deciding on a game than seeing known faces. In a limit game, choose a game where there's a lot of calling. This means that people are going to the flop with sub par starting hands and paying off people when they should not be.

If you are playing a no limit game, look for a game where people are submissive, a lot of light betting and calling. These people will not try to push you out of pots but are likely to pay you off with more Facebook poker chips.

Changing Pace

Playing the same mode of poker becomes monotonous after awhile. It is additionally not a smart way to continue to compete at poker. If you time and again play every hand the same way, you will become too predictable. At random intervals, it is best for you to mix up your play. If you are playing very tight, then loosen up and vice versa.

However, this poker strategy is not really to be used for limit games with 7 or more players, but rather for no limit games or shorthanded limit games, where bluffing and poker table appearance become more significant. You also don't need to change your style of poker game against bad opponents; they don't pay attention to how you are playing anyway.

Avoid the Second Best Hand

Most of the Facebook poker chips you will give up in a poker game will not come from folding your big blind pre-flop, but rather being trapped with the second best hand. 'Paying off' the top hand is why most people lose at Facebook poker.

Because you can't know exactly what cards your opponent holds, it is obviously not possible to fold the moment you are beaten. However at poker, you can often avoid having the second best hand by folding hands that may be conquered pre-flop. If someone in early position puts in a raise, fold that AJ off-suit. Chances are he has AK,AQ, or a pocket pair of JJ or higher.

Relative Hand Strength

Texas Holdem hard limit games are sometimes unbeatable against superior competition. Nevertheless, you can raise your chances for winning more Facebook poker chips if you do various things to give yourself that extra edge.

One of the most important things again is relative hand strength and odds. If you have KQ and a skilled player raised in front of you, it's likely that you are conquered. But at the same time, KQ is a playable hand under certain circumstances.

You usually want hands that you will be able to dominate in the pot so you can beat them later on. If you are in the middle or early positions, you will have to call with this hand and string a dominated hand along.

Other plays with virtual hand strength would be hobbling in with suited connectors, or small pairs, in order to provoke others to hobble in with you. Then again, if you have a mid pair and some maniac at the table raises in front of you, you need to consider re-raising in order to cut him off.

Now, lets pretend you have 99 and you place him on Ax. You currently have odds on him and want the pot to be just you against him. When playing a flush or straight draw, it is generally uncomplicated with bad players, but is usually mercurial with good players. If you are heads up at the flop, you should for sure semi-bluff at the pot and pray to take it down.

Moreover, if it's heads up and another player bets at you, you ought to think about raising in order to either scare him away or to save yourself half a bet. Suppose he has top pair and is just calling. If you let pass on the turn, you can make certain and earn yourself a free card. You will have seen the turn/river for just 2 small bets instead of 1 small bet and one big bet.

Ace and a low kicker that is suited is one of the most frequently misplayed hands when it comes to Facebook poker. Truth be told, this is a much better no limit hand because of its likelihood of breaking another player when you hit a flush. People have a tendency to go in with this hand a frequently though it is usually dominated, and it's rare to hit a flush.

In general, people simply like to stuff the pot with AA or KK, but it is better to try to play these hands a bit differently against the better players. By and large, you should try to re-raise with KK because you want to charge someone for looking for an A. It is probably best in this case to flat call with AA unless there are several runners and you want to avert too many from entering the pot.

On the other hand, if you're in late position or the blinds and there is a raise, it will wind up a flat call. Since it's expected to be heads up between the players and the raisers, it will generally have at least an 80% advantage.

Now you should call his flop bet and then raise him on the turn. Through this method, you can make a significantly larger amount of money than if you just knocked him preflop.

In the case of a tight game, the players tend to get scared at a re-raise preflop because this usually means QQ or better. Because of this, it is often best to re-raise with just a mediocre hand preflop if you're sure that this will improve the chances of a flop bluff. When playing with the same people for awhile, you will learn to fine-tune your AA line of attack and play that hard preflop in order to re-raise.

Playing a flush/straight draw

Playing a flush or straight draw is generally straightforward with bad players, but is often different with good players. If you are heads up at the flop, you should definitely semi-bluff at the pot and hope to take it down.

Also, if it is heads up and someone bets at you, you should consider raising to either maybe scare him out or to save yourself half a bet. Assume he has top pair and just calls. If you miss on the turn, you can check and earn yourself a free card. You will have seen the turn/river for 2 small bets instead of 1 small bet and one big bet.

Flop Bluffs

Being the aggressor pays off a lot when it's a tough limit game. It's almost always better to be the better rather than the caller in poker because the better can win if he has the better hand or if everyone else folds.

Against bad Facebook poker players, there is almost always a showdown, so this second part doesn't matter. However, it is not difficult to make

good players lay down their hand. If you raised pre-flop and it's heads up, you should generally put in a bet at the flop to see if you can just take it down, even if you missed.

Playing Axs

Ace and a low kicker that is suited is one of the most misplayed hands in Facebook poker. Truth be told, this is a much better no limit hand because of its potential to break someone when you hit a flush. People tend to go in with this hand a lot even though it is frequently dominated, and you rarely hit a flush.

My advice with this hand is to either play it for a multiway pot for the flush draw/two pair/trips with the x, or to be the aggressor and make it heads up. However, if you are making it heads up, you should be making a play for the blinds, like a button raise. Don't re-raise and isolate someone with this hand because more than likely they will have a better hand than you.

Playing AA or KK pre-flop

Generally, people just like to jam the pot with AA or KK, but I often will play these hands a bit differently against GOOD players. Generally, I'll re-raise with KK because I want to charge someone for looking for an A, but I'll generally flat call with AA unless there are several runners and I want to prevent many more from entering the pot.

However, if I'm in late position or the blinds and there is a raise to me, I will just flat call. Since it will likely be heads up between me and the raiser, I will generally have at least an 80% advantage. I will call his flop bet and raise him on the turn (unless there is something scary on the board, in which case I will raise on the flop to shut out any backdoor draw) Through this method, I will make a lot more money than if I just hammered him preflop.

The Awe of the Pre-flop Re-raise

If it's a tight Texas Holdem game, people tend to get scared at a reraise preflop because that often means QQ or better. Because of this, you may consider to use as a Texas Holdem strategy reraise with just a decent hand prelfop if I think that will increase my chances of a flop bluff.

Casino Poker

Casino PokerCasinos are an expensive form of entertainment if people decide to play a “real game.” Casino poker is considered to be an intense and fairly intelligent game. It is a known fact that most people visiting a casino would rather play a chance game than play a skill game. However, once people understand the rules of casino poker, it can prove to be very interesting.

In most casino games a player is paid in the form of a payout. In casino poker games the casino always takes a commission, also known as a “rake” from the players. The amount is deducted from the bets players make against each other. Hence, in most cases, casino poker is profitable for at least one player in a game as well as the casino itself.

People have played poker mostly at home. In this context, playing casino poker is very different. It is possible to understand and learn the rules of the game from a book that teaches the basics. A number of people even watch videotapes to learn how to ply the game. Tutorial softwares are also available to learn the nuances of casino poker.

Casino poker is becoming increasingly popular. Numerous casinos offer free lessons in casino poker. It is advisable for a prospective player to learn and be part of these games. Sitting in on a lesson provides a chance to play the game, using non-value tokens in order to understand and practice the protocol needed in a real casino poker game. These practice games are replicas of the real game and need to be taken seriously. In house instructors always provide advice and tips during these practice sessions.

Compared to most other casino games, casino poker is a game of skill. In most cases, veterans and professionals play the game and it is considered to be complicated and time consuming. If a prospective player decides to play casino poker, it is advisable to first learn the game. Since the game involves betting against another player depending upon ones cards, the chances of a veteran winning are relatively high.

Online Poker Games

poker gameOne phenomenon that has emerged with the dawn of the computer age is “online poker,” in which poker enthusiasts can play poker games over the Internet for fun or real money. Online poker has become so big that according to Christiansen Capital Advisor, worldwide online poker revenue jumped from $365 million in 2003, to more than $1 billion in 2004. In December 2003, revenues were estimated at $34 million per month. And by March 2005, approximately 100,000 people were playing for real money at the various pokers rooms at peak times.

There are many factors that contribute to this extraordinary upsurge in the online poker industry. For one, online poker rooms are much cheaper than casinos because they have very little overhead cost in comparison to conventional casinos, and they are more player friendly. For example, the introduction of freerolls (where there is no entry fee) attracts a lot of novice players.

Many large online poker sites also offer certain attractions, including entry to real-life poker tournaments for online winners. Other features such as “collusion detection” abilities also enable websites to detect certain frauds, which are not available in conventional casinos. This better security attracts more players.

Another factor is the ability to easily track detailed statistics of your play in online poker, made available by ""Hand Histories"" text files, which track every action both you and your opponents made during each hand. This is not possible in conventional casinos where you would have to take time-consuming notes after each hand. Combined with these factors, many online poker software programs are user friendly and are often automated according to specific needs and actions, such as prompting when it’s a player’s turn.

The online poker industry is growing, and worldwide revenue is expected to reach more $2.4 billion in the coming years.

Best Cheap Nintendo Wii Games For Christmas 2009 Holiday Shoppers

The Nintendo Wii has quickly become a household name. It's almost impossible to walk into a store without being bombarded with posters advertising the system. What the system doesn't have a lot of, though, is games. Not competitively priced games that are good for more than one play through. But there are some gems that people have been going on about for a while, and with Christmas swinging around, they're getting huge discounts in anticipation for the holiday rush. They may be a little past their prime, but the entertainment value is still unparalleled by these games that are far too nice to get crossed off of Santa's list:

1. Rayman: Raving Rabbids: At around $18, this classic was first released with the Wii and has still held strong because of a combination of hilarious characters, and tons of entertaining mini games that everyone in the family likes to get in on. The graphics aren't exactly top notch, but the fun to be had far overshadows technical limitations.

2. de Blob: An overlooked title from this past year, "de Blob" has a ton of cool features, and despite being a little offbeat, was a really great concept. Instead of running around shooting, the player advances through puzzles by "painting" scenery. There's still a lot of action when you run across some of the evil "INKT" corporation's goons, but, for the most part, you'll be a paint splattering machine coloring the dull monochromatic Chroma city. For $18, its a steal.

3. No More Heroes: A really derivative game by some standards, but at the same time great fun! The player takes on the role of geeky Travis Touchdown who buys a real live light saber and decides to become a mercenary. Between quips and extra missions, Travis slices up enemies and works his way through higher ranked mercenaries to become the top dog. The story is great fun and the extra missions make the $20 price tag far too kind of Ubisoft.

There are quite a few games out there for the Wii now, but above are the best ones you can find without shelling out $50. If you're looking for great fun and amusement with your Wii, they won't steer you wrong. At the very least you'll be able to give Wii Sports a rest.

Play Knock Poker

Knock Poker is nearly the same as Knock Rummy, but the ranks of the hands are in the order that holds in poker. The leftover cards are then put in the middle of the table as stock. The player who starts the game picks up the card from the pinnacle of the stock. He has got a choice to keep it to throw it away. The following player can then either pick from the stock or from the dropped cards. Once a player picks up a card, but certainly before putting it down ; a player has the choice to knock.

A call to knock is looking for a battle when his turn comes again.

The confrontation only implies that the other players get another opportunity to pull out and pay the knocker a chip or ditch and stay in the game. After the cards are made public, the highest hand is the winning one. People who felt they had no chance to win and withdrew escape. They need to pay the player who played the knock one chip before they leave the game. The massive advantage to the player who called the knock is that he is getting to keep the chips of those that give up even if he ultimately doesn't win. Infrequently the game is just played for bonuses conforming to the hand. At times the game is played for bonuses that depend on the hand.

A straight flush would benefit him by 2 chips. The game is thought to be played for bonuses like an additional chip or 2 if no cards were pulled out by the knocker. In this instance the individual that knocks lets go his turn to draw to the player on his left. It works to one chip each for a knock before drawing in the 1st round, then winning with the pull of the 1st card of the stock.

Educational Wii Games - 2009

Wii games are known to be extremely entertaining, which is their most basic appeal. This is also the case when it comes to the category of Educational Wii Games - they are not boring or trite my any means, and it's this aspect of the educational style of games that makes them quite popular with kids and adults alike.

At this point of writing (May 2009), there are just a few educational Wii games on the market to choose from, but the ones that are available have a number of appealing factors about them. Here are two of the top sellers in terms of popularity and high consumer ratings:

Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree - This set of games focuses on a few areas including math, visual recognition and various memory activities. In all of these activities, players are made to think quickly which is part of the overall challenge. It's good for kids as well as adults and is a popular game for families to play together as well as providing "mental challenge competitions" for group gatherings.

Smarty Pants for Wii - Rather than having one or a few specific focuses in terms of learning, this is a general information trivia type of a game. This is my personal favorite of the Wii educational games specifically for kids to play since it bases its questions upon age (entered early on in the game), making it specific to a particular learning level. This makes it a great choice for kids and adults too.

Both of these educational Wii games are created for players approximately 8 years and older, and are a great choice whether you're looking for fun and mentally challenging games for kids or adults.

SuperCar Challenge PS3 Review

SuperCar ChallengeThis is the second attempt by Eutechnyx at making a great sim racer. With Ferrari Challenge as prequel they've large shoes to fill. But there's something different about this game.

Unlike Ferrari Challenge this game features a whole new career mode that will let you drive around all continents in a search for racing points. With a curtain number of points you will unlock a new track or car. We've found this method of unlocking extremely pleasant and it's always a surprise what comes up next. Apart from unlocking new stuff and a few trophies there's not much to see here. You can also take a crack at arcade mode. In this mode you will drive around three tracks aiming at curtain objectives like finish in the top 3. You will proceed to the next difficulty level after you've finished your objective. But unfortunately there're annoying developers choices made here. For one you can't save between each attempt. Meaning that when you finished two tracks on the expert difficulty you won't be able to stop without having to re do all three tracks. For this reason this is also our least favorite mode. But there's more in SuperCar Challenge. You can do a quick race, time trail, paint your car and more! So in short you won't get bored here.

The presentation of SuperCar challenge is top notch as well. Graphics have made a step up since the previous challenge game. This time the colors feel more natural and the frame rate seems improved as well. We know this has to do with the fact that this game is a PS3 exclusive (Ferrari challengewasn't) because the engine seems pretty similar. Sound is fantastic. Theengine sound (or music if you will) is better than ever and far above anything heard from a Polyphony Digital game ever. And if you don't like the sound of a screaming V12 behind you then you're given the option to listen to your own MP3s in the background. To fine tune the whole music vs engine sound phenomenon, you are given the option to tone down the engine sound as well as ambient sounds. This is the way to go Eutechnyx, well done.

AI and steering are essential in every racing game and luckily it is done right here. The computer cars still block their lines but not as aggressive as in Ferrari Challenge. We actually liked the blocking AI, but now it's just perfect. For instance in the past the computer would try to block you even if the speed difference is immense, this time around they still do it occasionally but not as much. The driving with a controller and steering wheel both work well! We've had a hard time steering some of the cars with a controller because some of the cars were very unstable under braking. But this is a plus because the game should be unforgiving with everything off and even better the cars really all drive differently in SuperCar Challenge. This effect is what makes this game a sim and a good one too.

Now the last chapter of this review in which we talk about the issues. Firstly while we feel you can never have enough Ferraris, a little more variation would be nice. From the 44 cars to choose from maybe 30+ are Ferraris. But we won't say this is a problem because the Ferrari cars were made already for the prequel so why leave something out just for the sake of a little more balancing. More of a problem are the menus. They're slick and full of animation but maybe a little too much. This makes the interface feel sluggish at times. For example when you have to wait for the car preview to load before you can select the car and proceed. Another problem we found was the disability of the system to remember your driving aids at times. We've tried to remove the racing line but it magically came back in some of the modes. But nothing a short visit to the menu can't fix. To end the issues we'd really like to see a mixed car mode. Sometimes it's fun to race against other types of supercars as well.

SuperCar Challenge feels considerably different from it's prequel. With good graphics and sound it's presentation is ever so close to Grand Turismo 5 Prologue. The driving is amazing and the cars all really feel different, like in real life. But sluggish menus and a lack of variation in the car can limit your experience. Also sometimes the game can be frustrating, especially with arcade mode. Ultimately this game is highly recommended for simulation fans or people who really really like cars.

Dead Rising 2 - Can You Survive?

Dead Rising 2Dead Rising 2 is classified as a survivor horror video game that includes RPG and action adventure twists to it. The game will be developed by Blue Castle Games which will in turn be distributed by its former developer Capcom. Though, the original developers of the game will still take part in creating this new Xbox 360 game. The game is said to be released anytime next year to be played in PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 console and Microsoft Windows platform.

The gameplay has not been altered and is still the same with its first version. The player will control the new lead character Chuck Greene and must fight off numbers of zombies that plagued the city. Missions must also be finished to go to the next level or avail special items. There will be new objects that will be used to attack zombies. The number of zombies has also been increased from 800 to around 6000. According to the Inafune, head of Research & Development at Capcom, the new lead character in this new Xbox 360 game will be more interesting as compared to the previous protagonist Frank West.

New and more interesting missions will be included in Dead Rising 2 but the original time management mechanic will still be maintained. Though the photography part of the original game will not be carried on to this new Xbox 360 game. Multiplayer option for this game will be available because according to Inafune single player will not be enough to enjoy this game.

The Multiplayer option will not be chosen as a mode but will be done through a reality TV show titled "Terror is Reality". In this game four players will play in the game show where in they have to kill as many undead as possible inside the arena. They will be presented with vehicles and several weapons such as chainsaw-equipped motorcycles. Another way to beat their competition is to use "dirty" tactics on them. This fictitious game show is being compared to the American Gladiators game show.

The new Xbox 360 game, Dead Rising 2 will surely be a hit once it will be released sometime in the year 2010. So if you want to be the first to buy new Xbox 360 game then head on to CheapXboxGames to check out new releases.

Best Wii Games

1. Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Super Smash Bros

The third entry in what is possibly the greatest fighting game series of all, Super Smash Bros. It features over a dozen new characters with an overall higher quality of move sets than either of the other two games. It also features third-party mascots for the first time, including fan-favorites Solid Snake and Sonic the Hedgehog. With more items, most notably the Final Smash Ball, and stages than ever before, plus a fun story mode, new trophies, a sticker system, the ability to create your own stages, and much more, this is easily the biggest must-have for anyone who owns a Wii.

2. Super Mario Galaxy

Super Mario Galaxy

The most original entry in the Super Mario Bros. series since Super Mario 64 successfully made the transition to 3D. Bowser kidnaps Princess Peach and takes her to outer space, so Mario, along with the help of Princess Rosalina and the star-like Lumas, head after him into the cosmos. You take Mario between hundreds of little planetoids and dodge some of the most unique and creative obstacles in platforming. The story may be simple, but the gameplay is highly intuitive, and the various planets that you visit are so much fun that it does not matter. You might get a tad disoriented, but the game is well worth it.

3. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Super Mario Galaxy

The most recent console entry into the greatest video game series of all time, The Legend of Zelda. It features a brand new Link, many years after the Ocarina of Time, having to deal with the sudden appearance of massive twilight creatures and sections of twilight appearing all across Hyrule. This time, he can turn into a wolf when he goes inside these sections, and he has a new partner, a little spunky imp named Midna. It has the best storyline of any Zelda game to date, and Midna is one of the most interesting characters in the series. The motion sensor controls may not be the best for the Wii, but the game is so much fun that it does not matter.

4. Metroid Prime 3

Metroid Prime 3

The third and final part of the extremely popular game trilogy Metroid Prime, featuring the continuing adventures of one of video gamedom's most famous female protagonists, Samus Aran. It continues the Phazon-oriented plotline of the last two games and brings back the subseries' antagonist, Dark Samus, previously known as Metroid Prime. It has superb voice acting and some of the best graphics and designs on the Wii, and its motion sensor-based shooting controls are a huge improvement from the previous games in the series. It also features a brand new hint system and navigation assistance for people who get stuck. In many ways, it is the best game of the trilogy

5. Resident Evil 5

Resident Evil 5

The remake of the critically acclaimed Gamecube game, it features motion-based shooting controls with the Wii Remote that places a cross hair on the screen for aiming. It features the return of popular series protagonist Leon S. Kennedy and more action-oriented game play style, as opposed to previous games which emphasized the preservation of ammunition. The game features a complex and engrossing story with particularly good voice acting on the part of Paul Mercier for Leon, and a whole different kind of fighting with more weapons and unique enemies, like parasite-controlled humans called Los Ganados and the members of the Los Illuminados cult.

Professor Layton Curious Village - Nintendo DS

Professor Layton Curious VillageProfessor Layton and the Curious Village (also known as Professor Layton curious village Nintendo DS) is essentially a puzzle game, but it's a different kind of puzzle game to what you might be used to playing. Because of its curious nature, some have compared it to brain training exercises that you might do by reading a book. The fact the game is based on a book (written by Professor Akira Tago), is no coincidence. To sum up the story briefly, you play Professor Layton, and have been invited to solve the "The Golden Apple" mystery, with the help of your assistant, Luke. The game has a very gentry, English feel to it, not dissimilar to that of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson, and that is undoubtedly part of its charm.

One of the game's characters, Baron Reinhalt, before dying, declares that whoever can solve the mystery of "The Golden Apple" will inherit all of his fortune. Naturally, many people try and fail, and this is when you're called in. The game is like a jolly version of Poirot, but in a Nintendo DS game.

The game lends itself to the point-and-click style of many PC games, and enjoys a slow pace. For those that like an all-action, gung ho style of game, this is definitely not for you. It is definitely a thinking man's game, and for this it can be very rewarding. I don't want to give too much of the story away, so I'll just mention that it does become very engrossing, and that they game is extremely witty and well-mannered.

Professor Layton curious village Nintendo DS is well worth playing, and will not disappoint if you like to challenge yourself and solve puzzles. I feel like this game could be a small turning point for video games, and that we could soon see a lot more games of this type being released.

Top Wii Games 2009

Here are some of the top 5 Wii games in 2009. They are not arranged in order of preference or popularity though.

Wii Sports Resort

In the Wii Sports Resort, the sequel to the popular Wii Sports, you'll discover a wide range of new sports and activities you can play anytime which makes this a must-have collection in any homes. It has received in general favourable reviews so far. Wii Sports Resort is set in a beach resort on an island called Wuhu Island, which is also found on the Wii Fit. You will need the new MotionPlus accessory because none of the games found in the Wii Sports Resort can be played without it. Thankfully the One MotionPlus comes with the game. A mentionable game found inside this collection is the archery. The Wii Remote acts as your bow, and you 'draw' the bow's string by pulling the nunchuck backwards. To sum it up, the Wii Sports Resort is a good showcase of the motion-detection technology in Wii.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

The Super Smash Bros. Brawl includes a collection of game modes, features and impressive characters, which makes it more fun than before. This is a multi-player series of fast-moving 2D fighting games that features a cast of characters from the past Nintendo games. There are a total of 35 characters, which include Meta Knight from Kirby, Fox McCloud from Star Fox, Ike from Fire Emblem, Pikachu from Pokemon and Mario. What makes the Smash Bros so popular is the simplicity of the controls, which includes the "smash" attacks. The aim of the game is to knock your opponent out of the arena. Each of the characters have their own strengths and weaknesses. During the game, items will 'appear' to aid you in the battle. For instance, the beam sword helps you in your attacks and the hammer can inflict serious wounds to your opponent. You can also summon other characters when you collect 'assist trophies', who will either help or hinder you.

Mario Kart Wii

I like this game when I played it at an arcade some time back. This is a multi-player game that allows you to play it online with your friends. The main objective of this game is to race against 11 other competitors, in a 'Grand Prix' style. There are a total of 32 different routes, of which half of them are classics from the previous games, and the rest all brand-new. You can do lots of tricks with a few flicks of the Wii Remote, which helps you to increase your speed in the game. During the race, items will appear to help you. For instance, the thunder cloud will shrink you, unless you ram your kart into someone else and pass it to him.

The mega mushroom makes you grow super huge so that you can flatten the other racers. All in all, the Mario Kart Wii provides a whole new playing experience with its simple controls, online integration, and new stunts that were never found before in the Super Mario Kart which originated in 1992.

Wii Guitar Hero: World Tour

This game allows up to 8 players where you can play together and even compete online. The previous Guitar Hero allows you to play the traditional guitar only. With this latest installment, you can now play drums and even sing. You can choose to play only one instrument, or perform a band together with your buddies. If you are game for some challenge, you can also choose to compete online. What makes this game so overwhelming popular is the ability to play together as a band, like some rock-star band, while your friend sing to the tune. Another great feature of the Guitar Hero : World Tour is that it allows you to use your own tracks to play the game. If you are good enough, you can also create your own songs by following the tutorials. It's a fun game for all ages. Who knows, you might be the next rockstar!

Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop

This game is adapted from the original version from XBox 360. With lots of action, you will have a hard time fending off those zombies. The story is about a photojournalist Frank who is supposed to investigate a zombie invasion at a shopping mall. He has to find clues around the mall and kill those zombies of course. There are hundreds of items that you can use as weapons and a good collection of clothing that you can choose from. You can collect bullets and even cash when you kill the zombies. Although the Wii version is a bit wayward when compared to the original XBox version, you can be assured that this is an action-packed game with lots of fun and laughs.

2. Lego Star Wars for Wii - The Complete Saga - This game is rated "E-10", for kids 10 and older. It's a Star Wars game that allows players to play through every single Star Wars Episode (movie) - but it's played with Lego characters. That element doesn't detract from the from the excitement of it, but it most definitely adds a level of amusement. (There aren't many things that are funnier to see than a group of Lego/Star Wars characters battling each other out - good vs. evil!) This game is great for kids, but as mentioned above is specifically for kids 10 and older due to some mild violence in the game.

3. Super Mario Galaxy on Wii - Mario hits the galaxy and shoots from planet to planet in order to gather the precious stars that will save the lovely Princess Peach from Bowser - the familiar "evil" character in the Mario series of games. Best Wii Games

1. Super Smash Bros. Brawl

5. Resident Evil 4

Best Wii Fit Games - What Are the Best Wii Fitness Games For Christmas Holiday Shoppers?

It can be hard to get outside and exercise properly in the middle of winter, but several Wii video games offer good workout options without leaving the house.

Topping the list of the most popular fitness games and the one that offers the best all around workout is EA Active from EA Sports. EA Active can be used with or without the Wii Balance Board and comes with a stretchable band to be used for strength exercises and a neoprene holster you place around your thigh and use to hold the Wii nunchuck.

EA Active focuses on traditional exercises to build stamina and strength and allows users to set up their own regimen quickly and offers a challenge by fitness guru Bob Greene. The game measures calorie burning for exercises and has a two-player mode in which you can take on a friend in competitions.

An expansion pack is being planned for a November release. Another big advantage of EA Active is the price is much lower than Wii Fit since the balance board is not necessary, yet if one is already owned it can be used.

The original Wii fitness game, Wii Fit, is still near the top of the list and also has just released an expansion pack that includes more mini-games. The Wii Balance Board is required for both. Wii Fit uses the balance board to concentrate on yoga and other exercises to increase your core balance. Many of its mini-games are fun for the whole family, even if they are not necessarily the toughest workouts. Wii Fit starts out with a few simple exercises and allows you to unlock others as you workout more. While some seem simple, they will leave you a little sore.

Though not technically a Wii fitness designed game, Punchout for Wii can also offer a fun, aerobically intense workout if used with the Wii balance board. Punchout is a boxing game and if playing in single-player mode with the balance board, ducking and dodging punches offers quite a workout.

Gold's Gym Cardio Workout is an intense aerobic exercise experience via cardio kickboxing. It also features scheduled workouts and difficulty levels as you improve.

These Wii fitness games give a good workout cheaper than joining a gym.

Warcraft Fast Leveling Guide!

If you are new to warcraft or still cant get a firm grib of the ins and outs of warcraft then you have come to the right place. Even if you have a higher level character but cant seem to get those last levels up to 80, this guide will show you how to reach the level 80 status.

I tell you know, it is not easy to reach level 80 on your own considering the difficulty of the game but to help you through the steps and make the process a lot faster Zygor has devised a perfect guide just for the people a mentioned. A lot of people new to Warcraft would find out very overwhelming, mainly due to the fact that there are millions and millions of players... hence it is the biggest online game in the world.

Anyway, back to the guide. If you are having trouble with reaching level 80, it is perfect for you. I know from personal experience. I was having a lot of trouble with leveling up my character and i could never figure out how the other professional players would be on level 80.

So i did some research and asked a few people and they said the best way to learn is through a guide that actually works. This is because there are many many guides out there, but a majority of them are just scams and have little or very basic information that you probably already know.

I have come across a guide that is very straight forward and lives up to what it advertises. The Zygor guide does everything it advertises, leveling up to 80 in less then a week with any character in World of Warcraft. If you are in need of some help with leveling in World of Warcraft i highly encourage you to buy a Zygor's guide to leveling.

The History of Poker

The history of poker is believed to have evolved around ten centuries ago. Like other card games, poker involves the basic principals of ranked card with the application of "bluffing techniques" to deceive opponents.

The evolution of the game was thought to have been invented sometime before 969 A.D. by the Chinese. It was reported that it started when the Emperor Mu-tsung played "domino cards" with his wife on one new years eve.

In the 12th and 13th centuries, the Egyptians were also known to have used a form of what they call their playing cards. Different games with different mechanics similar to the domino cards played by the Chinese were invented, which might have also led to the invention of what we call poker today.

In 16th century, Persia "Ganjifa" or "Treasure Cards" were used for a variety of betting games. A Ganjifa deck consisted of 96 elaborate cards. They were made of very thin slices of ivory or precious wood. The Persians tehn played the game of "As Nas" which used 25 cards and it involved rounds of betting and the basic principals of card ranking.

In the 17th and 18th centuries, a French game called "Poque" and a German game named "Pochen" became very popular. They actually originated from the Spanish game called "Primero" which was invented in the 16th century. The game involved three cards being dealt to each player. Betting high stakes and bluffing when holding poor ranking cards to deceive opponents was the primary mechanics of the game. Primero was eventually referred to as "poker's mother" as it is the first version that has been confirmed to have the same mechanics of what we recognize as poker today.

In 1834, a man named Jonathan H. Green made one of the earliest references to poker. In his writing, he mentioned the rules to the "cheating game." The Cheating Game" quickly began to pave way to the popularity of the cardsharp game of 3-card monte on the gambling circuit. A lot of gamers liked the idea of the new game as it was perceived to be more challenging and looked like an 'honest' gamble than the 3-card game which was notoriously rigged. Green took more than just a mere interest in the new game. Later on, he formally named and documented the "cheating game" in his book "An Exposure of the Arts and Miseries of Gambling." Thus, poker was born.

Today, there are three games that have so far dominated the modern poker scene:

• The 5 Card Draw - is usually the first poker variant learned by players, and probably the oldest form of modern poker
• 7 Card Stud - another popular game seen in almost any casino
• Texas Hold'em - the most popular game of poker today

There are other variations such as Omaha, Manila, stud poker, Draw Poker and Razz which are also popular, but not as thrilling and exciting as No Limit Texas Hold'em.

Just recently, Moscow was introduced, which expanded the horizons of how to play Mafia Wars, and rejuvenated the interest of complacent know-it-alls of the game.

Do not alienate yourself from your family and friends by only communicating with them through the game. There is such a thing as life to get back to.

World of Warcraft Strategy - Deadly Boss Mods

So, do you think that you are ready to raid?

If you are ready to raid, then you might want to consider getting this add-on to help you get through the boss fights that much easier.

This add-on gives you a boss mod for every raid boss.

It also includes a Health Frame which allows you to quickly see the remaining health on any active bosses, including multi-mob bosses. If for some reason your system crashes during a fight and you disconnect, the add-on will request timer and combat status information to get you back on track. All timers are synchronized for accuracy. The different boss mods are designed as plug-ins, allowing you to change, remove, or update them separately when needed. They are also only loaded as needed, so that you don't use up all your memory or processing power until you enter that instance.

Communication is also easier with Deadly Boss Mods.

You will get colored raid warnings with players colored according to class, so you can easily tell what is going on at any time.

Should someone whisper you during a boss fight, they will get;

  1. An auto-respond message that tells them you are busy.
  2. They will be informed of the name of the boss you are fighting.
  3. Also the remaining health of the boss.
  4. And your raid's status.

Critical events during the fight are highlighted with special effects.

These include over-sized warning messages, and sounds so that you always know what is going on.

You can even create custom timers for your pizza or other snack food you eat while raiding, so you don't have to worry about pulling a "Leeroy Jenkins" during the battle.

And if that wasn't enough for you, many of the bar designs are customizable so you can set them to your needs.

Facebook Hold Em Poker - The Top Application on Facebook

Facebook Hold Em PokerDid you know that there are over 12 million people actively playing Facebook Hold Em Poker every month? At any point of the day you can log on and see that they are 150k people logged on and playing. That's a lot of people all playing poker for free and for fun. So what is the big deal why are people wasting so many hours play Facebook poker when they are only using play money and not actually winning anything? And why are people buying and selling Facebook poker chips when they are virtual chips and have no real value?

Facebook poker is an application that you can add to your Facebook profile which allows you to play virtual Texas Hold'em poker with other Facebook members, you can also invite your friends and chat to people while you play so it is much more than your average electronic card game. One of the main attractions is the social interaction that this game provides, you can have a virtual cards night with your friends without ever leaving the house and you can meet new people while playing poker. Plus you don't have the same risks as playing real online poker because you are not gambling any of your own money - it's all play money. So it's a great place to learn how to play online poker without going bankrupt in your first month.

You start off with some free money from Facebook which you can gamble and win or lose. You can then earn more Facebook poker chips by taking up special offers or adding other applications to your profile. At the moment Facebook is running a promotion where you can earn $1,000 free Facebook poker chips every day just by logging on to the application, you can also earn even more free Facebook poker chips by recommending the application to your friends. If you lose all of your Facebook poker chips you will have to either take up offers and promotions to replenish your stocks or you can actually buy more chips from internet traders. This has sparked a new industry with people winning and selling poker chips to other players.

If you are really good at poker you could make yourself some money by selling your own chips. So why do people pay real money for virtual Facebook poker chips? Well its human nature to be competitive and the more Facebook poker chips you have the more advanced tables you can play on. There are elite tables which are only open to players with lots of chips and where the minimum stakes are as high as $500k. For advanced poker players who have lost all their chips on a bad hand it can be really frustrating to try to build up their bank roll again by playing rookie players in the lower tables, they want to be right back up there playing against their friends and poker players of a similar skill level. These people are willing to fork out real cash to cut through the lower tables and get back to their elite games.

Things you Should Know about Video Poker

poker gameWith the growing popularity of online gambling, many casino game aficionados are slowly turning to the computers and playing at home instead of going to actual casino dens. One of the most popular games on the Internet is video poker, which combines the basics of a poker game and the style of a slot machine. It has become so popular that casinos have installed their own video poker machines. Here are some of the basic information that you should know about this online game.

It is not the same as the usual poker game in casinos.

Knowing the basics of the usual poker game in casinos is not enough to make you a success online. Although the rules, especially the ranking of the cards, are the same with the table game, there are differences that even the most adept player must learn. As mentioned above, the structure of the video poker game is the same as those of slot machines. In fact, even the video poker games inside casinos have much the same look.

In video poker, one is dealt with five cards from a deck. What is different in video poker is that you are able to discard some of the cards that you are holding and replace them with another. The combination of cards that you will have after clicking the draw will be your final hand. If the final hand is good, you’ll be given the pot.

This is good for people who want to test their wits against the machine. Although there is some chance involved, majority of the wins that a player will get will depend upon his skills in the poker game.

It is not the same as slot machines.

Although both video poker and slot machines are housed in the metal cabinet with coins slots, the games are quite different. While slot machine winnings depend solely on chance and luck, video poker games involve a lot of thinking skills as well as familiarity with the game.

With video poker, a person can select the cards that he will retain and discard. This means that winning the game depends on the decision that the player has made while playing the hand.

Bluffing does not work.

Obviously, the age old technique of bluffing your way to a win in poker games will not work in video poker because well… you don’t have any opponents. You are basically playing against a computer, which of course know what you hand is. With video poker, it is the strength of the hand combination that you have created that will determine your win.

Another major difference is that whatever combination you will get, you will always win. Of course, the different hand combinations will have different range of payback but basically you will win unlike the live poker games in casinos where only one player wins the pot.

Two kinds of Video Poker

Although there are basically many different kinds of video poker games, there are basically two major kinds. The single hand video poker is often played with one to five coins. And because this is a single hand game, there will be no confusion on how much you have bet for a particular game. Players of the multi-hand video poker, on the other hand, have the option to play a lot of hands. A player can choose from three hands up to a hundred hands.

World of Warcraft Secrets - An Introduction to WoW Add-Ons

World of Warcraft gameIf you are new to the World of Warcraft or even if, in some cases, you have been playing a while, you may not be aware of the advantages that add-ons can offer you. Add-ons are available to customize your World of Warcraft experience. They can be a useful part of everything, from making questing easier to keeping track of the money you are making to just making the layout of your viewing screen a little more interesting.

Doing a search for World of Warcraft Add-ons will bring up a huge variety of sites. One of the more popular ones is Curse.com, which allows you to browse add-ons by category, such as your class PvP, or economy. Simply choose the one you want, and download it to your computer. When you log in to WoW, click the add-on button on the character screen and make sure that the appropriate add-ons are selected. The changes should take place once you log in to your character.

World of Warcraft secrets - The down side to add-ons.

The biggest downside of using add-ons is that they have to be updated with each and every patch. Depending on the add-on, this can take days or even weeks after the patch before it is updated, if it gets updated at all. If you have become overly dependent on a particular add-on, you may feel quite naked without it.

Some add-ons can also slow up your user interface, especially if you have a slower computer or a slower connection. Some may also interfere with some of the aspects of the game for instance; you could experience a glitch that prevents you from using a quest item appropriately. In these cases, you will need to weigh your experience with the add-on to the game performance, and take out any that aren't worth the hassle.

As with anything else you download, you should also make sure that you use a trusted source for add-ons to avoid unintentionally downloading viruses, Trojans, or worms.

Making Money in World of Warcraft - You Can Make Thousands of Gold Per Day

Do you play World of Warcraft regularly? Then I'm guessing you know that having heaps of gold makes your World of Warcraft experience so much more enjoyable. However, it is a true fact that a huge amount of WoW players don't posses the correct knowledge to earning massive amounts of gold, and therefore their game is less enjoyable and they are missing out on a lot of top end gear.

Making money in World of Warcraft is a breeze if you know the tested and approved methods and strategies and use them properly. After using these methods it is not rare for the player to become one of the richest people on their server. I have been gaming on WoW ever since it was released, back in 2004 (and even in its beta stages), and while using these same strategies I earned huge sums of gold, amounts unimaginable to the average player.

Do you want to log-in to hundreds of successful auctions in your mailbox everyday?

Are you thinking "What if I this guide isn't for my level or faction?", well that shouldn't be of concern because this guide was made for Alliance and Horde, levels 1 to 80 and newbie to pro. There's no need to be constantly wearing average quest reward gear and riding normal speed mounts, when you could be in a full set of epic armor and weapons and not to mention epic flying mounts. You could also have a Traveler's Tundra Mammoth in no time.

All this additional gold pouring in will also allow you to repair, enchant and gem your items whenever you want to. No more worrying about how much gold your spending or how much is left in your bag. I advise you, don't ever buy gold from an online seller, its against Blizzard's terms of use and your account can get banned indefinitely. Also, how can you be sure they will even deliver your gold to you?

Still a tad unconvinced? Its your decision, but if you're wanting to make thousands of gold per day, find out more info here - Making WoW Gold.
