So rumors are being spread around that Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is in development huh? Weren’t expecting that were you? Yea right. Anyways most likely we will hear something sooner than later since once a rumor starts the developers are pushed to make an announcement at some point. Well to tell you the truth we aren’t very excited for the game at the moment since most likely it will just improve on Black Ops new formula (Cod Points etc). But we could be wrong. Here are some features we’re ready to see in a Call of Duty game.
* The one thing that we are really hoping for in Modern Warfare 3 is a great story. More than likely that won’t happen because unfortunately it’s all about the online now, but one could hope. Both Black Ops and Modern Warfare 2 seemed to be a disappointment for many fans. Modern Warfare 2 was a disappointment because of its campaign segment, but the online was considered the second best of the series behind COD 4. Black Ops disappointment was in its multiplayer segment because of all the bugs/glitches that were in the final product, but the campaign offered something new for fans. A story that actually gets you engaged with a character that speaks.
* Modern Warfare 3 will need to make sure that none of the issues with the multiplayer segment occurs. Hackers are one of the biggest problems out there now in the COD community. If Infinity Ward is still at the helm though we will have to see how well the final product comes out since it lost a good chunk of its skilled game developers during the dispute with Activison. We really want to see something new and innovative from the next Call of Duty. That’s one of our biggest dislikes with Call of Duty is that the game never seems to take risks. With all the fans out there don’t you think if they added maybe..a map editor the game would gain so much more value to the players? (Yes we know we’re crazy about map editors, but who wouldn’t love that in a Call of Duty game?)
* Honestly though if the developers aren’t going to put the same love into the campaign as they do into the online component then you might as well cut the campaign out. Just an example of a developer that takes care on both segments of their game is Geurilla Games. Killzone games are known for their storyline and online gameplay. Call of Duty..just the online. If they took out the campaign entirely though most people would expect to see a bunch more features for online. More guns, camo, maps and so on.
* Anyways these are just some of our opinions on what we would like to see with Modern Warfare 3. Our biggest problem with Call of Duty is that since Call of Duty 4 not much has changed within the series. The developers need to take chances and add new aspects to the game to make it feel fresh to gamers.
* Let us know what features or changes you’d like to see in the next Call of Duty. If we’re interested in any Call of Duty game at this point it would have to be the one from Sledgehammer. Let’s hope they give us the new Call of Duty experience.
