Just two years ago it seemed as if EA Sports had turned its back completely on the PC. With big franchises like NHL and Madden being stripped altogether, it was only FIFA that was left to stumble onwards.

The Story

Multiplayer

During multiplayer action all players assume the role of the Hero Patapon, but are not limited to a single form. Players' Hero Patapons are fully customizable, able to take the shape of any of the Patapon warrior classes, and allowing players to show off their distinct, one-of-a-kind heroes to the world.

Working together, players embark on a series of mission of increasing difficulty, designed to test their skills as individual warriors as well as team players. But even the most powerful of Patapon Heroes who venture into this online adventure will find that he/she needs something extra to carry the day. In a nod to the Karmen, the tribes' new enemy in Patapon 2, here players will ultimately have to don a ceremonial mask to obtain the strength to survive and succeed. But to secure a mask players will need to have obtained a certain item during their time spent playing through the game's single player campaign. Once produced players will have to work together to transform this item into the mask.

Improved 'Fever Mode' Functionality
Patapon 2 features new and improved 'Fever Mode' functionality. Fever Mode is a state in the game reached when players have successfully completed a certain number of consecutive combos, effectively ratcheting up their Patapons' fighting ability and efficiency in battle for as long as they continue adding successive combos. In the original Patapon, activating and maintaining this mode provided an ever growing rhythmic challenge as the game progressed, but was not necessarily manageable for all players. Simply, the answer is 'yes', but like most things in life, things are not always so 'simple'.

ue to massive gameplay redesign, your level will not transfer over to Mass Effect 2 and you will start out with basic abilities. However, the game will acknowledge if you were a level 60 character and if you were a Renegade or Paragon and adapt it in ways that map across to the new system. Also, the physical appearance and class of imported characters can be changed at the start of the game, if desired.

Transfer of a Mass Effect Save file will allow the player to start with more experience, credits, mineral resources and Paragon or Renegade points depending on the previous Shepard's behavior and level.

If a player has no Mass Effect save files, Mass Effect 2 will start with an introduction sequence which, in combination with interactive decisions made by the player, introduces new players to the storyline and establishes a “canon” backstory.

Shepard's Fate
In Mass Effect 2, it is possible for Commander Shepard and members of his team to die at the conclusion of the game's final mission. Throughout the middle of the game the player will be building up the team, resources, information and ship necessary to succeed in the final mission. Should the player enter the final mission unprepared they could end up with an ending where Shepard dies, members of his team die, or there is a total bloodbath where everyone dies.

Should the player's Shepard die they will be unable to continue playing the game after the credits, and will be unable to import their character into Mass Effect 3. As with Shepard, death is final for all characters, and any that die during the ending will not be appearing in Mass Effect 3.
