World of Warcraft - A Beginner Guide For New Players

World of Warcraft or WoW as we know it, is a virtual online gaming zone with a multiplayer facility that enables players from across the world to play together and combat the various quests that can be undertaken in this enchanting medieval world of pulsating adventure. Our very first view of the world of Azeroth, was in the initial Warcraft - Orcs and Humans, but the latest version is a comprehensive presentation of this wonderful world that has the most beautiful graphics and picturesque scenery.

The World of Warcraft derives its concepts from the real warcraft universe, thereby making a revolutionary move in the world of online gaming. There are several exciting quests and the breathtaking adventures can lead you to some very tricky zones that are mind-boggling and can get you all confused. So, to help you overcome these obstacles and understand the game more clearly, we will focus on the basic structure of the game.

When you begin, you will find that you are a part of one of the two combating teams, the good Alliance, which includes humans, gnomes, dwarfs and night elves or the evil Horde that includes Taurens, Orcs, Trolls and the Undead. It is therefore essential that you choose which side you want to be on and this can only be decided by the type of server you will be using. There are three server types, the Player versus Environment PvE, Player versus Player PvP and thirdly the Role Playing or RP server.

The PvE also known as the normal server is where you will be combating virtual characters instead of fighting human players. You are allowed to use up to 10 characters from both teams by switching over from one team to the other. You may also need to flag and enter the PvP zone if you are encountered by an intimidating race. The PvP is a more intense and competitive gaming arena, as you are faced with constant challenges the moment you are flagged when you leave the starting point and enter the combating area. You can still play with 10 characters but you can choose only one team. The RP server is where the player talks and behaves like the character the player chooses to play with.

Once you have decided which server to use, you must concentrate on the characters that you choose to play with. It is important to have the right combination of characters to carry out your action because different characters have different abilities. As bonuses can be collected for each race undertaken, it is vital to select a character with attributes that are perfect for a particular race. There are nine classes to choose from, the Warriors, Paladins, Druids, Shamans, Mages, Priests, Hunters, Rogues and Warlocks, all of which have their own skills and talents.

Now that you have understood the characters, you are ready to embark on one of the World of Warcraft quests. Non-players or village inhabitants are the ones who will give you the quests and also sell items of use to you as well as repair your damaged armour. When you have successfully completed all the quests in the village where you started, you proceed to the next village where you will be given new quests. The best way to travel around is by foot, as it is the safest and keeps you from encountering too many enemies. The more quests you complete, the better you will become and the higher you will go up in level and soon you shall be a master in the World of Warcraft gaming zone.
